Kaiserreich Baden Dienstauszeichnung 3.Klasse 9 Jahre 1913

In an excellent condition a Baden Long Service Award 3rd Class 9 Years 1913

The service awards for non-commissioned officers and soldiers were first established on February 18, 1831 by Grand Duke Leopold in three classes. They were awarded in the form of a buckle to non-commissioned officers and soldiers after 25, 18 and 12 years of impeccable service. This form was awarded from 1831 to 1868. In 1868, the award regulations were changed and the required years of service for the classes were changed to 21 years for the 1st class, 15 years for the 2nd and 9 years for the 3rd class. The buckle shape was retained and gold, silver and iron for the individual classes. The service awards were changed on December 18, 1913 under Grand Duke Friedrich and awarded according to the Prussian model as a cross for the 1st class after 15 years and as medals for the 2nd and 3rd classes after 12 and 9 years respectively, replacing the previously valid service awards in buckle form.

The 3rd class was awarded to non-commissioned officers and soldiers for completed and blameless 9 years of service.
