In an excellent condition a Swiss pioneer sword model 1842/52 with sawback
The Grip has 26 grooves and quillons 4 grooves. The blade is a saw-back blade with a false edge. The blade is maker marked on the ricasso Clemen & Jung from Solingen.
It has the black leather scabbard with bronze fittings.The stitching and staples are in place. The leather strap to attach the scabbard to the frog is still present and in good condition.
The frog has nice markings, in a square the Swiss acceptance mark with K underneath. Some illusive markings of a previous owner. Maker marked Th. Werner from Schaffhausen and dated 1912.
