Background info:
The Scharnhorst-Bund deutscher Jungmannen, named after the Prussian army reformer Gerhard von Scharnhorst (1755–1813), was a militarist youth organization during the Weimar Republic that existed until Hitler came to power in 1933. After that, all "Jungmannen" were accepted into the Hitler Youth. But young men were still allowed to wear their uniforms. Former members of the Scharnhorst League were permitted to wear the traditional badge of the League of German Young Men on their military clothing.
The Scharnhorst Traditionsabzeichen was a badge of the National Socialist German Workers' Party for former members of the Scharnhorst Bund deutscher Jungmannen.
