The former Union-Werke in the original district of today's Radebeul was one of the most important companies in the Saxon packaging and advertising material industry until the Second World War

The production program in the first half of the 20th century consisted of tin packaging for cosmetic and pharmaceutical products as well as for confectionery and tobacco products, signs (including traffic and street signs) as well as posters and billboards, among others for more than 35 breweries from all over Germany. The number of employees in the 1920s and 1930s fluctuated between 400 and 800 depending on the respective order situation.
