This is the 4th version of the music Giovinezza. The music originates originally from 1909. But the three earlier versions although the same music had different lyrics written by three different song writes.
Perhaps because the music was so popular they wanted to lifted on its easy acceptance.
"Giovinezza!" was one of the most popular songs of the first half of the twentieth century in Italy and had a wide resonance abroad. It was composed, initially as a goliard hymn of university students, in 1909, by Nino Oxilia and Giuseppe Blanc, with the title Il commiato. It was then anthem of the Arditi (1917, anonymous-Blanc), anthem of the Squadristi (1919, Manni-Blanc) and finally triumphant anthem of the National Fascist Party (1925, Gotta-Blanc).
The song "Giovinezza!" was born in 1909 with the title Commiato, as a goliardic farewell song for the studies of the university students of Turin. The author of the text was Nino Oxilia, who died on November 18, 1917, hit by a shrapnel on Mount Tomba, during the First World War, while the music was written by Giuseppe Blanc, a law graduate and then a student of the Liceo musicale.
