In an excellent condition a reservist flask of the 31st Lower Alsatian Field Artillery Regiment
The Unter-Elsässisches Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 31 was the 1st regiment from the Lower Elsass region and the 31st from the Prussian Military
The flask is dated for the reservist Esser and he served between 1911-1913.
It has the Prussian eagle on top. It say Parole ist Heimat, Reserve hat Ruh. On top of this saying the reservist emblem and two granates have been attached. In the middle the photo of the reservist. Underneath Andenken am meiner Dienstzeit With original robe with two extra attached brushes
On the otherside it depicts the regiment pulling a canon. Kanonendonner ist unser gruss (canon thunder is our greetings). Drinking beer on top of a shell fired "Heute fiel der letzte Schuss, well ich nach der Heimat muss."The last shot was fired today because I have to go home. between national imperial flags and oak leaves. In the middle is a scene that can be moved round. Where the soldier is back with his wife. and when spint round. It says Dreh mich um sieh hinein und was darin ist das nimmer ein. There is the main cap with the eagle on top which can be used for drinking. and the 2nd cap to close the flask. All in excellent condition.
