BRD Reiterabzeichen 3. Klasse Bronze 1957

In an excellent condition a Bundes Republiek Deutschland bronze rider badge 3rd class

The German Riding Badge was introduced in this form on April 9, 1930 by the Reich Association for the Breeding and Testing of German Warmblood. Various badges were donated as motivation and badges for acquired qualifications and achievements. These included rider badges, driver badges and youth rider badges. This, like the rider badge presented here, in 3 levels. It is divided into 3 classes gold, silver and bronze. While the 3rd and 2nd class can be acquired by proving qualifications and skills, the 1st class in gold was only awarded after sporting victories in a riding discipline. The 2nd class was silver plated bronze or white metal. Badges have also been made of silver.
The rider's badge is still awarded in a different form today. The requirements for the individual classes have not changed significantly and can be queried from the Equestrian Federation.
