Maler marked on te ring H.Timm from Berlin

The Prussian State Warrior Association donated the Cross of Honor for its members on August 16, 1921 in 2 classes. The award had to be applied for by the individual warrior associations at the regional board. The 2nd class was awarded for outstanding merits in the warrior club system of the Prussian State Warrior Association. Previous possession of the Cross of Honor 2nd Class was a prerequisite for being awarded the 1st Class. A simultaneous awarding of both classes was not planned. Both classes were carried on together. The reason for the award could be a special individual act or many years of faithful performance of duty in the PLKV. A minimum period of 10 years applied to the 2nd class. There were exceptions for members who were over 70 years old. The ratio for the 2nd class was set at 10% of the members. The award took place from August 1, 1925 free of charge from the budget. In the event of death, the awards had to be returned, but could be purchased by the bereaved. In the case of misconduct, the cross could be revoked and had to be returned. The costs for replacement crosses and probably also for purchase by the bereaved amounted to 4 RM for 2nd class. Crosses were made from various materials such as bronze or silver-plated white metal. Differences are, among other things, in the different weight.
