Preussen Ehrenzeichen des Landesvereins vom Roten Kreuz 10 Jahre
In a very good condition a Prussian Red Cross 10 jubilee honor badge
Official name: Ehrenzeichen des Preußischen Landesvereins vom Roten Kreuz 10 Jahre
After the Great war and the abdication of the princes and kings, all regional Red Cross associations and the (national) state women's associations merged on January 25, 1921 to form the German Red Cross based in Berlin. The creation of the new badges of honor of the national associations can be attributed to this period. The crosses of the different national associations differ in the inscription in the medallion ring. The shape is often the same. Depending on the national association and manufacturer, design deviations are more or less large. This cross was awarded for special merits in the National Red Cross Association, without a certain number of years of service. The Prussian LV donated the badge of honor in 3 classes. The 1st class is gold plated and white enamelled. The 2nd class is silver plated and white enamelled. The 3rd class shown here is silver plated without enameled cross arms. Crosses without a year are rarer than with a year and are therefore more expensive.
