Backside: Gott war mit uns Ihm sey die Ehre. Crown over F W (for king Friedrich Wilhelm III) Preussen tapfern Kriegern
Instituted 30 October 1815 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. for soldiers fighting in the Napoleon-Prussian freedom War. Combatant version for those who really fougth against Napoleon and were from good honor, made of bronze from captured enemy canons: on the rim inscription AUS EROBERTEM GESCHÜTZ. The coin and iron cross should be turned in to the state when the soldier died.
