HEERES VERPFLEGUNGS SACK 1944
Original German army jute rations sack dated 1944. H.Vpfl. (Heeres Verpflegung)
These sacks were used for all of army rations and to transport loose cans of food, from beans or grain, to loaves of bread, etc...
This one is very special although dirty of its use. But it looks like it had three lives.
1. First as a sack for the company in Kiel August Eckmann GmbH, which was Grain wholesale and agricultural machinery company. The company with this name still exists.
2. The sack was taken and stamped with the eagle and swastika and used by the army.
3. It was de-nazified after the war for re-usage
It is about 115 cm long by 68 cm wide.
