Swiss Army Cowhide Backpack with front pocket - Model 1939
Very good but used condition Swiss Army cowhide packback (rucksack) from the Swiss Army dated 1946. Made by F. Fuhnen Sattler Emmenbrucke 46 (marked in the leather). It also has the name (dog) tag from the former owner "Matti Hans S"
The bag features pouches on both sides of the front flap and inside the the main compartment. The back of the pack includes two leather pads at the bottom (where the date is stamped) and the two leather shoulder straps. One is permanently affixed, while the other clips in for easy access. The stick to hold the bag together is present. On the inside of the main package space under the fabric there is also a stamp in a circle "KMV-IMG Privat-Prive with Swiss cross in the middle"
On the back on the middle strap there is an inspection stamp with "swiss cross SZ" inside a square
The bag is in very good condition with some bald spots on the front cover and on the inside. The leather straps are very subtle and likewise the buckles in excellent condition, there are also some extra straps included in the backpack, my guess is that these were used to attach a blanket or materials and strap this also to the backpack on the outside.
